As a result of customer feedback received regarding potential improvements a new method of securing the roof in place has been developed. The new method involves using long allen screws located at the coach extremities rather than at the bogie pivot point as originally designed.

The original roof 'nut' is used as before, but now drill a 4mm diameter hole in the floor at a point close to the coach end (position not critical).

Reduce the hieght of the bogie mounting knurled nut shank so that it does not protrude inside the floor and secure in place with your favourite strong adhesive (we recommend two part epoxy resin).

Mount bogies in the usual manner.

It's that simple and holds the roof firmly down at the ends.

If you have a kit with the original roof fixings and you would like to try this improvement, give us a call and we'll send you the necessary bits!
